X= Desert 2
y= Desert 1 = 9x (because it is 9 times the area of Desert 1)

Add the two areas together.

x + 9x = 40,000,000
10x = 40,000,000
Divide both sides by 10
x= 4,000,000 sqr mi=area of Desert 2

9x= area of Desert 1 = y
9(4,000,000)= 36,000,000 sqr mi

Marcus score is 13.7, the mean is 12.89, and the standard deviation is 1.95, so I’ll do ( 13.7 – 12.89)/ 1.95, Since Marcus' z-score is 0.415. The area to the left of the z-score is 65.9% so therefore Marcus did scored better than 65.9% of the students. So Marcus needs to score 98% better of all the other students in order for him to receive an actual certificate.

Find the prime factorization of 196. Use a method of your choice. List your final answer
hammer [34]
Positive Integer factors of 196 = 2, 4, 7, 28, 196 divided by 2, 2, 7, 7, gives no remainder. If we put all of it together we have the factors 2 x 2 x 7 x 7 = 196. It can also be written in exponential form as 22 x 72.

(I got all of this from google so i hope it’s right!)
