There are many things Antarctica provides. For one, Antarctic science has revealed much about the impact of human activity on the natural world. A lot of research about the environment is also conducted in Antarctica. And according to marine south west, 90% of earths ice and 70% of earths water comes from Antarctica. There are many other reasons but these are a few.
