what advice does the author of "how to jump-start a car battery" give for connecting the jumper cables to the battery?

I would say he would say for example that when the cables are connected to the live battery don't touch the other two cables or they will spark, and it is advisable to connect the cables to the dead battery first then to the live battery and also ensure that the same cable goes to positive and the other cable goes to the negative posts on the  batteries and the positive post is the fatter one.
