Even though mr. t's baroreceptor reflex responded to his decreased blood pressure, it did not succeed in raising his blood press

ure high enough to prevent him from passing out. why not? (hint: remember, this client has a spinal injury that has blocked communication between the brain and the lower half of his body.)

Reduce blood pressure will induce the brain to send a signal that constricts the blood vessels.
Baroreceptor will catch the impulse that saying there is decreased blood pressure and send it into the neuron that will end up in the spine. It is located in the upper body so the signal should reach the brain.
The brain will send a signal to constrict the blood vessel of the body, but the signal couldn't pass the lower body. This will cause the lower body failed to receive the signal, thus not constrict the vessel. Therefore, the blood will be pooled in the lower body and the blood pressure keep decreases

Which of the following statements about ion channels istrue?
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

They are opened either by the binding of ligands or by changes in electric potential across the membrane

Explanation:

Ion channels are the integral membrane proteins that form pores or holes for the transport of specific ions, such as potassium ions (K+), Na+, etc. Most ion channels are selective and allow only a single type of ion to pass through. These ion channels facilitate the diffusion of ions down the concentration gradient and do not require ATP.

Ion channels are mostly gated. Some ion channels open in response to change in the concentration of ions and electric charges across the membrane. Some ion channels open and close in response to the binding of specific molecules called a ligand. For example, binding of two molecules of acetylcholine to the receptor on the motor endplate of a neuromuscular junction opens an ion channel in the ACh receptor through which Na+ can flow across the membrane.

Anestetic [448]

Answer: Option B

Explanation: Spermatogenesis

Spermatogenesis can be defined as the process by which the spermatozoa (haploid) develops from the germ cell In the semniferous tubules of the testes.

The damage in the testes can result in the mutation in the man's sperm cells. Any damage to the this structure will result in hindrance in the process of spermatogenesis.
