The correct option is (C) a government that soon adopted communist reforms and ideas.

Further Explanation:-

The Cuban Revolution was an Upspring in Cuba and because of that the government of then-President of Cuba, Fulgencio Batista was overturned. Because of this revolution, Cuba got a new ruler who was Fidel Castro who then ruled Cuba from 1959 to 2008. Because of the Spanish-American War, Spain faced big defeat against the United States and lost control over Cuba in the year 1899. Military Organization was governing Cuba between the period of 1899 to 1902. During the rule of that military organization, The Cubans filled more governmental offices then they were able to fill under Spanish rule. By the year 1919, Cuba was enjoying high success as a country because of its Sugar export. In year 1955, When Batista became the President of Cuba, his primary concern as a President was the Sugar Act which was imposed by the United States on Cuba in order to benefit its domestic producers and by the time Batista was overturned as President and Fidel Castro took over charge.

Cuba struggled for freedom from the Spain and later on governors of Spain also ruled the Havana. After the Cuban Revolution, the country gained its independence and with the independence, government of Cuba adopted the communist ideas and reforms.
