All number in percentage form when converted into a fraction will serve as the numerator with 100 as the denominator. The percent sign will be removed and the fraction will be simplified.

42% = 42/100 = (42÷2) / (100÷2) = 21/50
72% = 72/100 = (72÷2) / (100÷2) = 36/50 = (36÷2) / (50÷2) = 18/25
88% = 88/100 = (88÷2) / (100÷2) = 44/50 = (44÷2) / (50÷2) = 22/25
35% = 35/100 = (35÷5) / (100÷5) = 7/20

Notice that both numerator and denominator must be factored by the same number to be simplified.

Put each one over 100. So 42/100, then reduce down by dividing by 2 both the top and bottom figures and you get 21/50 for your first answer. Do the same with each of the rest...72/100 and reduce down to 36/50, then reduce again 18/25 and that is the farthest you can reduce on that one. Do the same for the rest.

belka [17]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is:

The correct option is the option D

g=1.63\frac{m}{s^{2}}

<h2>Why?</h2>

To calculate the acceleration, we need to use the following formula that involves the given information (initial speed, final speed, and time).

We need to use the following free fall equation:

V_{f}=V_{o}-g*t

Where:

V_{f} is the final speed.

V_{o} is the initial speed.

g is the acceleration due to gravity.

t is the time.

We are given the following information:

V_{f}=8.15\frac{m}{s}

V_{o}=0\frac{m}{s}

t=5seconds

Then, using the formula to isolate the acceleration, we have:

V_{f}=V_{o}-g*t

V_{f}=V_{o}-g*t\\\\g*t=V_{o}-V_{f}\\\\g=\frac{V_{o}-V_{f}}{t}

Now, substituting we have:

g=\frac{V_{o}-V_{f}}{t}

g=\frac{0-8.15\frac{m}{s}}{5seconds}=-1.63\frac{m}{s^{2}}

Therefore, since we are looking for a magnitude, we have that the obtained value will be positive, so:

g=1.63\frac{m}{s^{2}}

Hence, the correct option is the option D

g=1.63\frac{m}{s^{2}}

Have a nice day!

Step-by-step explanation:

City sales:

7% tax = 48.65

total bed cost = $743.65

Nearby City:

4% tax = 27.8

total bed cost = $722.8

city sale - nearby city

743.65 - 722.8
