The rise in sea levels is one contributing factor. if all glaciers melted today the seas would rise about 230 feet. animals suck as polar bears and seals would become endangered, making some organisms that polar bears eat becoming out of control. Eventually, humans, some places like islands could become flooded due to rise in the water.

These ice caps have been frozen for hundreds of years, the planet would be covered with more and more water as the climates get hotter. Which will reduce to less land and a bigger population with not enough resources.

Reika [66]

Explanation:

Catastrophism is the theory that the Earth has largely been shaped by sudden, short-lived, violent events, possibly worldwide in scope, this contrast with Uniformitarianism that suggests that the landscape developed over long periods of time through a variety of slow geologic and geomorphic processes.

To meaningfully study the past, we must assume the same or similar mechanisms operated then as now, following this idea we conclude that uniformitarianism is a more logical theory, geologists then consider periodic catastrophe (volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, meteorite impacts, and storm deposits) is one of those processes uniformitarianism suggests.

If place A lies at the height of 2500 meters above the sea level and its surface temperature is 20 degree celcious, estimate the
Alchen [17]

Answer:

14°C

Explanation:

Place A = 2500 m = 20°C

Place B = 1500 m = ? °C

First of all, we know that the air temperature decreases with 6°C at every 1000 m.

So, now it is easy to find the temperature from place B.

If in place A, at 2500 m is 20°C, then at place B the temperature will be with 6°C lower.

Place B = 20°C - 6°C = 14°C
