Ten years ago, teenagers were the most likely to use this type of language and the least likely were the elderly and adults. Today, everyone is likely to use this kind of language.

This change happened due to the dynamism that communication currently presents, due to the popularization of the internet and messaging applications that allow faster and more accessible communication for people of all ages. This popularity did not exist among adults 10 years ago, with quick communication using slang, abbreviations and emoticons more popular among teenagers.
