The equation for this parabola satisfies

\begin{cases}a-b+c=9\\9a+3b+c=-19\\16a-4b+c=-12\end{cases}

(in other words, plug in each given point's coordinates (x,y) into the equation y=ax^2+bx+c)

Now,

(a-b+c)-(9a+3b+c)=9-(-19)\implies-8a-4b=28\implies2a+b=-7

(a-b+c)-(16a-4b+c)=9-(-12)\implies-15a+3b=21\implies5a-b=-7

and

(2a+b)+(5a-b)=(-7)+(-7)\implies7a=-14\imples a=-2

2(-2)+b=-7\implies b=-3

(-2)-(-3)+c=9\implies c=8

So the equation of the parabola is

y=-2x^2-3x+8

What is the interquartile range of 77 88 92 81 86 84 86 83 and how do you get it thx plz help
puteri [66]
To find the IQR you first need to write it in numerical order

77, 81, 83, 84, 86, 86, 88, 92

IQR is just Q3 - Q1

Q1 is the middle of the first have, since it has an even set of 4 numbers in the first half you need to take the average of the two middle ones.. which is 82

Q3 done the same process would be 87.

87 - 82 = 5

IQR = 5

The O! Natural Company sells a juice in 1 gallon bottles. The current retail price of the juice is $3.50 for 1 gallon. In order
cluponka [151]

Answer:

After the discount, the customer will pay only 91.4% of the initial price.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that the price of the current retailer, in dollars, is:

3.50

After the discount, the new price, in dollars, is:

3.20

We want to know what percentage of the original price is the final price.

To find out, we must divide the final price between the initial price and then multiply the result by 100%

So:

\frac{
3.20}{3.50}*100% = 0.914. * 100% = 91.4%

After the discount, the customer will pay only 91.4% of the initial price.

The discount percentage you are going to pay is 100% -91.4% = 8.6% of the initial price

How many triangles can be constructed with the sides measuring 1m, 2m, and 2m.
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:Only one triangle can be constructed

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question sides given are 1m, 2m and 2m

For the possibility of a triangle the sum of the two sides must be greater

than the third side

We have 1+2>2

⇒3>2

Also 2+2>1

⇒4>1

So  the possibility of a triangle is fulfilled

Only an isosceles triangle can be constructed

as two sides are equal
