Pachacuti was a Sapa Inca (the leader of the Inca), who transformed the Kingdom of Cuzco into Inca Empire.

Ayllu is a traditional community in the Andes, as as a community of Quechuas or Aymaras.

Mita was a mandatory public service in the Inca Empire.

Quipu  was the system of knots that the Inca used to count.

After the Civil War, during the Reconstruction era, most of the freedmen in the South went back to work in the cotton fields as a way of sustenance. Small states wanted equal representation (equality by state), and large states wanted representation based on population (equality by vote). Under the compromise, all states were represented equally in the Senate.
