“Be careful!,” mother said. “Okay!” I replied. I’ve always like Saturday mornings. The air was so crisp and nice. I don’t have a car but the bus is always a good way to get around. After I caught my bus, I stopped at the library to turn in my book. Shortly after, I walked to the bus stop when I heard a cry. It sounded like a baby. He was left there behind the bus stop, deserted and alone in a little box. Beside the box was a vest and some diapers. I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t want to abandon the child. So I decided to take the baby home. When I got home, mother was shocked. “wh-who, where?” mother muttered, “At a bus stop,” I replied. “Well we must call the police!” Mother quickly got the telephone and called the police. After what seemed like five minutes, the patrol officer arrived at the doorstep. He took pictures of the baby, grabbed the box from which I found him. He said the baby would be placed in the welfare department. I felt sad for he baby and had hoped that he would find a loving home and family. The End!
