Show that f and g are inverse functions (a) algebraica

Mathematics

(a) algebraically

(f ° g)(x) = f(g(x))
(f ° g)(x) = f(3 - x/4)
(f ° g)(x) = 3 - 4(3 - x/4)
(f ° g)(x) = x

(g ° f)(x) = g(f(x))
(g ° f)(x) = g(3 - 4x)
(g ° f)(x) = (3 - (3 - 4x))/4
(g ° f)(x) = x

since both ways ended up with “x” as their answers that means they are inverse of each other. i found this doing it algebraically.

i hope this was helpful!

Adam exchanged British pounds for Swiss franc He changed £400 into 592 francs What was the exchange rate of British pounds to Sw
OLEGan [10]

Answer: 1 : 1.48

Step-by-step explanation:

Adam was able to change £400 into 592 francs which means that the British pound is stronger because it was able to buy more Swiss francs.

The exchange rate can be gotten using direct proportion:

400 : 592

1       : x

Cross multiply:

400x = 592

x = 592/400

x = 1.48

Exchange rate is:

= 1 : 1.48

(a + b)(a ² - ab + b ²)
erastova [34]
Hi there!

You can use distributive property to solve this equation.

These are the list of terms you have to multiply :
a × a² = a³
a × -ab = -a²b
a × b² = ab²
b × a² = a²b
b × -ab = -ab²
b × b² = b³

add all of those terms...
a³ - a²b + ab² +a²b -ab² + b³
simplify by adding like terms... (- a²b + a²b , ab² - ab²)

a³ + b³

Hope this helped!! :)
