Mood is the feeling the reader experiences as a result of tone and theme is the way a work of literature raises questions or explores an issue in addition to telling a story. Theme is revealed through plot, characters, setting etc. Hope this helps:)

Mood is the feeling an author sets in their diction to make the readers feel a certain way (i.e in most of Edgar Allan Poe's work, the mood is usually depressing, angry, or vengeful). Theme is message the author is trying to tell the reader, for example, honesty is the best policy, or not everything you hear is true. This impacts an author's work since it expresses and illustrates the story.

Is rhetorical device and literary device the same?
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

Rhetorical device has almost the same meaning, but it's more broad: literary devices only are found in literature, rhetorical devices can occur in any sort of speech or writing. So all literary devices are rhetorical devices, but not all rhetorical devices are literary devices.
