Many reasons....but mostly its because it throws the whole system out of wack....like when a new fish is brought to a area its not from...it eats all the fish that are native...but theres no predator that eats it..so then you have a problem....and other things like that.....hope that helps

MakcuM [25]

Answer:

The correct options are B and C

Explanation:

Option A is false because bacteria fix nitrogen by converting it into ammonia. The ammonia is used by the plants for different functions like development etc.

Option B is correct because plants can take up both ammonium ions and nitrate ions from the soil. They use these ions to make amino acids which are required by the plant for different activities.

Option C is correct because nitrifying bacteria are the bacteria which convert ammonia into nitrites and then nitrates in a process which is termed as nitrification.

Option D is false because herbivores eat plants to make amino acids and proteins.

What does it mean for a membrane to be selectively permeable?
maw [93]

Answer;

Semi-permeability means that only certain molecules are allowed to pass through.

Explanation;

-Semi-permeability is one of the features of a cell membrane, which means that the membrane allows selective movement of materials in and out of the cell; that is only certain molecules can enter or leave the cell.

-For example smaller molecules such water and ions such as potassium and sodium ions are able to leave and enter the cell, while other molecules that are large such as protein molecules can not enter or leave the cell.
