Pick any 2 data points from the list, say (6,13) and (5,11)
compute m, slope using the slope fornula m= y2-y1/x2-x1 = 13-11/6-5=2/1=2. pick any point and write your equation in slope intercept form
y-11=2(x-5)
y-11=2x-10
y=2x+1. answer B

(-1,-1) and (2,5)
slope = (5+1)/(2+1) = 6/3 = 2

using (-1,-1)
y = mx + b
b = y - mx
b = -1 - (2)(-1)
b = -1 + 2
b = 1

equation slope intercept form (y = mx + b where m = 2 and b = 1)
so
y = 2x + 1
or
f(x) = 2x + 1

answer is B. second choice

Trey reads 10 pages in 25 minutes. At the rate, how many pages will he read in 45 minutes?
neonofarm [45]
Answer: 18 pages

======================================

Explanation:

Trey reads 10 pages in 25 minutes, which means we have the ratio
10 pages: 25 minutes

Divide each part of the ratio by 25
10 pages: 25 minutes
10/25 pages: 25/25 minutes
0.4 pages: 1 minute

So Trey's unit rate is 0.4 pages per minute. In one minute, Trey reads 0.4 of a page

Now multiply both sides of the last ratio by 45
0.4 pages: 1 minute
45*0.4 pages: 45*1 minute
18 pages: 45 minutes

Which is why the answer is 18 pages
It takes Trey 45 minutes to read 18 pages
Or in other words, Trey reads 18 pages in 45 minutes.

(9x – 9)
(3x + 9)°/B
Find the measure of ABC
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

<ABC = 54 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Taking the sum of angle on the straight line ABD as 180 degrees

3x+9 + 9x - 9 =180

12x = 180

x = 180/12

x = 15 degrees

Since <ABC = 3x+9 (vertically opposite angles)

<ABC = 3(15)+9

<ABC = 45+9

<ABC = 54 degrees

How to simply 7a+3(9+5a)?
makvit [3.9K]
To solve for this, we need to use the Distributive Property, which allows us to multiply the number/variable outside of the parenthesis by all numbers/variables inside of the parenthesis. Once we've done that, we can attempt to simplify the equation.
Our current equation is:
7a + 3(9+5a) = 0
Let's use the Distributive Property.
3(9 + 5a)
3(9) + 3(5a)
27 + 15a
Our current equation now is:
7a + 27 + 15a = 0
Combine like-terms.
15a + 7a = 22a
22a + 27 (If this is not being solved, THIS is your answer as an expression)
Subtract 27 from both sides
22a = -27
Divide both sides by 22 to get a.
a = -27/22.
If we are not solving for a, but getting an expression, your answer is:
22a + 27.
If we are solving for a, our answer is:
a = -27/22.
I hope this helps!
