The possible negative effects of crime I can think judging in my community would be:
-People are more vigilant and suspicious of everyone
-Increasing crime rate will spark as inspiration to those who want to or who are continuing to commit crimes
-Fear will prevail in the community
-Police workforce might have a shortage for respondence to crime
