A-African slaves (they were brought from Africa to replace the native Americans to work. they were sold to many owners.)

African slaves would be the answer. Honestly tho, Slaves from Ireland were also brought over in secret. Irish slaves had it just as bad as African slaves. The school education system just chooses not to talk about it.
