➷ A) 5 x 2 = 10

The enlarged cube's side length is 10 cm

B) Work out the volume of the original cube:

Volume = 5 x 5 x 5

Volume = 125 cm^3

As it is volume, you have to cube the scale factor

2^3 = 8

Multiply this new scale factor by the volume:

125 x 8 = 1000

The enlarged cube's volume is 1000 cm^3

C) Work out the surface area of the original cube:

S.A = 5 x 5 x 6

S.A = 150 cm^2

As it is area, you have to square the scale factor

2^2 = 4

Multiply this new scale factor by the surface area:

150 x 4 = 600

The enlarged cube's surface area is 600 cm^2

Which property is shown? 4/5+ -<br> 4/5=0
TEA [102]
This looks like the additive inverse property, because when you add something to its negative counterpart (or its additive inverse), you get 0 as a sum.

Another example would be 2+ (-2) = 0. -2 is the additive inverse for 2.
