An Environmental Activist is a broad term for someone who is actively engaged in fighting for the environment. It could even be said that both environmental lawyers and environmental journalists are environmental activists in their own rights. However, someone could still be an activist without being a journalist or a lawyer, and this activist may be involved in fundraising, petitioning, and actively protesting. Environmental journalism is quite self explanatory; to report though written and/or verbal media to spread information on issues pertaining to the environment. An environmental lawyer fights legal battles to ensure dangerous actions are prevented or held accountable, and may also impact future legislation regarding environmental management.

The process by which a cell divides is called
PolarNik [594]

The best answer is C

The process by which a cell divides is called mitosis. It results in two daughter cells that are genetically identical to each other and to the original cell.

Multicellular organisms, depend on mitosis for growth and repair. Organisms repair some of their tissues using mitosis to regenerate new cells. Not all cells undergo mitosis at the same rate. In man, brain cells are much more difficult to regenerate than cheek cells which are constantly being replaced.

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by I) initiating signal transduction pathways in the cells II) causing molecular
Yakvenalex [24]

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by causing molecular changes in the cells.

The term "chemical messengers of the body" is frequently used to describe neurotransmitters. The nervous system uses these molecules to send information between neurons or from neurons to muscles. A neurotransmitter influences a neuron in one of three ways: excitatory, inhibitory or modulatory.

When a stimulus is potent enough, the chemical messenger neurotransmitter is transferred into the nerve impulse. If it is powerful enough, it will reach the postsynaptic cell and affect the structure of the neuron. And when signal transduction happens, everything mentioned above is completed.

Determine the proportion of offspring phenotypes that would result when two merle dogs mate, if both dogs are heterozygous (Ll)
Brut [27]

Answer:

75% would have the dominant traits for coat length, 25% would have recessive trait for coat length.

Explanation:

After completing a punnet square, we could find that our genotypes are 25% LL, 50% Ll, and 25% ll.

If these genotypes were to be physically expressed, LL and Ll would both be expressed as showing the dominant trait.

This means that 75% would have the dominant traits for coat length and 25% would have recessive trait for coat length.

I hope this was helpful! Let me know if you need any clarity.

Why is reabsorption important
harina [27]
The purpose of the kidneys is to filter waste from the blood, and other things like water, glucose, amino acids, some minerals/vitamins, and other small molecules can also get filtered out. Reabsorbtion of water in the kidneys allows the body to maintain a fluid balance (drink a lot and you pee more cause you have an excess of water). As for the other aforementioned things, they're often needed for metabolic processes (such as certain enzyme functions) so loosing it to waste decreases efficiency and efficacy of other bodily processes.
