174=8w-26+2w
174=10w-26
Add 26 to both sides
200=10w
Divide both sides by 10
20 inches= w

Substitute the answer to find length.
l=4w-13
l=4(20)-13
l=80-13
l=67 inches

Check:
174= 2(67)+2(20)
174=134+40
174=174
