This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

What is an assumption historians make when they evaluate a source of information?

A. They know an eyewitness will be free of personal bias.

B. They know a student who did research will be an accurate source.

C. They know an expert will provide the most accurate information.

D. They know an eyewitness report will always be truthful.

Answer: They know an expert will provide the most accurate information.

Explanation:

Historians offer interpretations of past events based on evidence provided by different sources. Although eyewitnesses and students doing research are valid sources of information, an expert will always provide the most reliable information.

Experts concentrate in a specific area of history,  including a distinct country or area, period, or field.

In the Making Connections slide in section 3 of this lesson, there is a quote by former Secretary of State Colin Powell expressi
Aleks [24]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Secretary of State Colin Powell expressed his belief that America’s success is based upon the nation’s diverse population. I totally agree with his statement.

Of course, America is successful for many reasons, but one of the most important truly is the diversity of its people.

My first example is that this great nation was built by immigrants, people that came from England founded the 13 first colonies in North America.

Secondly, as history teaches us, many European immigrants came to this country to find a better life through hard work and commitment: Italians, Irish, Jewish, and many more. Of course, there are the African people who were brought to America as part of the slave trade.

Finally, Asian and Latin American immigration have given their own identity to the United States because most of them have an open productive business or are working in the fabrics, industries, and farms of America. All of them brought with them their history, traditions, culture, and customs, forging the diverse United States that have contributed since their fronts, this great country.

What was one problem that undermined the League of Nations’ effectiveness
vladimir1956 [14]

Best answer to that question is likely this:  The League of Nations lacked strong leadership.

Explanation:

The United States never joined the League of Nations, in spite of the fact that an organization such as the League of Nations was the signature idea of US President Woodrow Wilson.  He had laid out 14 Points for establishing and maintaining world peace following the Great War (World War I).  Point #14 was the establishment of an international peacekeeping association. The Treaty of Versailles adopted that idea, but back home in the United States, there was not support for involving America in any association that could diminish US sovereignty over its own affairs or involve the US again in wars beyond those pertinent to the United States' own national security.   The lack of involvement by the world's fastest-growing superpower, the United States, hampered its effectiveness.

The League of Nations had set out clear goals for what it intended to do.  The main aims of the League were disarmament across nations, preventing war through collective security of the international community, settling disputes between countries through negotiation, and improving welfare of people around the globe.  But it proved unable to meet those goals.  The United Nations today has similar goals, and has been more effective in its efforts -- though there are still plenty of people who criticize the UN's effectiveness.
