Can u help I am terrible at ordering numbers

Mathematics

OK so it's telling us to order it from least to greatest, WHICH MEEAANNS we start with the lowest possible number listed. ( I'm gonna turn the fractions into decimals just to make this easier. )

SO, we have:

-1.8 -- 1 -- 1.4 -- 1.9 -- -1.25

Ofc first we start with the negative numbers.

-1.8 and -1.25

( We're just gonna add an extra zero to 1.8 so we can see which is less )

SO, which is less -1.80 or -1.25

NOW REMEMBER negative numbers are different from positive, they get ranked in the opposite way. WHICH MEANS -1.80 is LESS than -1.25 BECAUSE -1.80 is farther from 0 than -1.25 is. Next is the positive numbers:

1 -- 1.4 -- 1.9

Now, this is the easy part. 1 is the least out of the positive numbers listed, then 1.4 then 1.9! Which makes the order:

-1.8 ----  -1.25 ---- 1 ----  1 2/5 ----  1 9/10

You have measured the systolic blood pressure of a random sample of 25 employees of a company located near you. A 95% confidence
Alla [95]

Answer:

122 \leq \mu \leq 138

The 95% confidence interval would be given by (122;138)

And the correct interpretation for this case is:

c. If the procedure were repeated many times, 95% of the resulting confidence intervals would contain the population mean systolic blood pressure.

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

A confidence interval is "a range of values that’s likely to include a population value with a certain degree of confidence. It is often expressed a % where by a population means lies between an upper and lower interval".

The margin of error is the range of values below and above the sample statistic in a confidence interval.

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

Solution to the problem

The confidence interval for the mean is given by the following formula:

\bar X \pm t_{\alpha/2}\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}} (1)

In order to calculate the critical value t_{\alpha/2} we need to find first the degrees of freedom, given by:

df=n-1=25-1=24

Since the Confidence is 0.95 or 95%, the value of \alpha=0.05 and \alpha/2 =0.025, and we can use excel, a calculator or a table to find the critical value. The excel command would be: "=-T.INV(0.025,24)".And we see that t_{\alpha/2}=2.06

Now we have everything in order to replace into formula (1), for this case we got:

122 \leq \mu \leq 138

The 95% confidence interval would be given by (122;138)

And the correct interpretation for this case is:

c. If the procedure were repeated many times, 95% of the resulting confidence intervals would contain the population mean systolic blood pressure.

For the function f(x) = –5x, which ordered pair will be a point on the graph of the function?
Drupady [299]
It's D: (0,0)
This is because when you put 0 in for x your y value will equal 0 and that is one of your answers, so it's the point (0,0)

A grocery store sells and 8 ounce bottle of juice for $1.76 What is the cost of the juice per ounce?
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

$0.22

Step-by-step explanation:

Now we know that 8 ounces total to $1.76. That means that in order to find how much 1 ounce costs, we will end up dividing both sides by 8

8 oz = $1.76

8 oz / 8 = $1.76 / 8

1 oz = $0.22

So, we now know that 1 oz  is equal to 22 cents. You can also confirm your answer by multiple 0.22 by 8, and you'll see that you'll get 1.76
