Johnny ate 8 pies in 5 minutes

He must have ate 1 pie in   (5/8) minutes

Answer:

Jonny spent 0.625 minute or 37.5 seconds on each pie.

Step-by-step explanation:

At a pie eating contest Jonny ate 8 pies in 5 minutes.

He spend time on eating each pie = \frac{5}{8}

                                                         = 0.625 minutes

to convert 0.625 minutes to seconds we multiply it by 60

0.625 × 60 = 37.5 seconds.

Jonny spent 0.625 minute or 37.5 seconds on each pie.
