For the most part, they wanted an opportunity to own their own land. European land was largely owned by rich Lords and Monarchs. The US was largely open for the taking, and the poor would agree to be an indentured servant for many years in exchange for a chance to make it to the US, and hopefully one day own their own land.
I don’t know if this is right but as someone who is native I’m going to guess during conversion of religion. Again I don’t know if that’s the main one they want but it was a contributing factor. :)
Ya see war cost money, and im not sure which war youre talking about. But most wars send the economy into some kind of depression cause money is being sent to the soldiers and americans have less.
