Iran's government is considered oligarchic because a small class of people has control over the government. Their legislature is called the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

I would say that the best thing it to do your duties well: your supervisor likely has another supervisor that they need to report to and they will be stressed if you don't do your job and they have to report it to their supervisor. They might be angry or dissappointed in you and this will be bad for your relationship.
