Answer with explanation:

The formula to calculate the compound amount is given by :-

A=P(1+r)^t, where P is the Principal amount invested , r is the rate of interest ( in decimal ), and t is the time period ( in years).

As per given , we have

P= $500 , r= 6%=0.06

Then the formula to find the compound amount after t years :

A=500(1.06)^t (Put values of P and r in the formula)

For t=1

A=500(1.06)^1=530

Jack will have $530 after 1 year.

For t=2

A=500(1.06)^2=561.8

Jack will have $561.8 after 2 years.

For t=5

A=500(1.06)^{5}=669.1127888\approx669.11

Jack will have $669.11 after 5 years.

For t=10

A=500(1.06)^{10}=895.423848271\approx895.42

Jack will have $895.42 after 10 years.

Find the 100th term in the arithmetic sequence 0,5,10,15
Viktor [21]

Answer:

easy peasy,

the 'n' th term of any arithmetic sequence can be found with the following formula

=> a + ( n-1) d, [where 'a' if the first term of the sequence, 'n' the number of term we need to find, and 'd' being the common difference between each two consecutive term of the sequence)

all in this case would be,

a = 0

n = 100

d = +5

hence the 100th term would be,

=> 0 + (100 - 1) 5

=> 99 x 5

=> 495

Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

40 square yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The backyard is rectangular and it's dimensions are 7 yards long and 8 yards wide.

The area of a rectangle is given as:

A = L * W

where L = length

W = width

Therefore, the area of the backyard is:

A = 7 * 8 = 56 square yards

Elliana wants to plant sunflowers on 16 square yards of the backyard and the rest of the backyard will be used for a pool.

The area left for the pool will therefore be:

56 - 16 = 40 square yards

40 square yards will be left for the pool.
