21. 7.35

24. 27 1/4

25. 13.35

28. 6.3

29. 3.75

32. 6 3/4

33. 5.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Absolute value is distance from zero

so -2/3 is 2/3 away from zero

therefore -2/3 is 2/3

I really hope that this helped!!

The answer, with it being absolute value, always has to be positive. because absolute value is the distance the number is away from zero, no matter what answer you get, it has to be positive. for example, number 20:
-2/3 is in absolute value, so it is now 2/3.

21. -7.35 is in absolute value, so the answer is 7.35

22. 27 1/4 is already a positive, so you do not have to do anything with it. it stays the way it is.

...and so on.

The table shows the number of candid pictures of students for the yearbook for two consecutive years. Year Number of Photos 2015
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

The percentage decrease in the number candid student pictures for the yearbook from 2015 to 2016 is approximately 9.3 percent

Step-by-step explanation:

The given data can be presented as follows

Year           {}                      Number of Photos

2015           {}                      236

2016           {}                      214

The percentage decrease in the number of candid pictures is give by the following formula

Percentage \ Decrease = \dfrac{Original \ Value- New \ Value}{Original \ Value}  \times 100

Where;

Original value for the number of pictures = 236

New value for the number of pictures = 214

Substituting the values into the equation for the percentage decrease gives;

Percentage \ Decrease = \dfrac{236- 214}{236}  \times 100 = \dfrac{550}{59} \ percent\approx 9.3 \%

The percentage decrease is approximately 9.3 percent.

Suppose z varies directly with x and inversely with the square of y. If z = 18 when I = 6 and y = 2, what is z when I 7 and y =
madam [21]

It is given that z varies directly with x and inversely with the square of y so it follows:

z=k\frac{x}{y^2}

It is also given that z=18 when x=6 and y=2 so it follows:

\begin{gathered} 18=k\frac{6}{2^2} \\ k=\frac{18\times4}{6} \\ k=12 \end{gathered}

So the equation of variation becomes:

z=12\frac{x}{y^2}

Therefore the value of z when x=7 and y=7 is given by:

\begin{gathered} z=\frac{12\times7}{7^2} \\ z=\frac{12}{7} \\ z\approx1.7143 \end{gathered}

Hence the value of z is 12/7 or 1.7143.
