Answer:

a. Check the diagram

b. He walked 58 feet

c. He is 18 feet far away from the house

Step-by-step explanation:

a. Eli started inside the house an walked 12 feet (blue arrow), after that he keep walking until the mailbox for 32 feet (green arrow) and after that he came back until the dog 14 feet (red arrow).

b. For calculating how far has he walked we need to take into acount all the travel so we add all the arrows:

12ft + 32ft + 14ft =58ft

He walked 58 feet.

c. The distance from the dog to the house is determine by the substraction between the distance to the mailbox with the distance he walked to the dog then:

32ft - 14ft = 18ft.

He is 18 feet far away from the house.

--- = ----
5       x

then cross multiply and divide

5 times 5=25/2=12.5

he would move 12.5 feet in 5 hours

two verticies of paralellogram ABCD are A(-6,-1) and B(-5,3). The intersection of the diagonals, E, are (-2, 1/2). Determine the
masya89 [10]

Answer:

D(2,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagonals of a parallelogram gram bisects each other.

Therefore E is the midpoint of AD.

Let the coordinates of D be (a,b).

By the midpoint rule:

( \frac{x_1+x_2}{2} ,\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}) = ( - 2, \frac{1}{2} )

This implies that:

( \frac{ - 6+a}{2} ,\frac{ - 1+b}{2}) = ( - 2, \frac{1}{2} )

This implies that:

( \frac{ - 6+a}{2} = - 2 ,\frac{ - 1+b}{2} = \frac{1}{2} )

( - 6+a =- 4 , - 1+b = 1 ) \\ ( a =- 4 + 6 , b = 1 + 1 ) \\ ( a =2 , b =2 )

There were 935 offenses in 2000 and 2448 offenses in 2019. What is the percentage increase?
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Approximately 262%

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the percentage increase divide the new amount of offenses by the old amount of offenses:

2448/935 = 2.618

2.618 rounds to 2.62. Convert 2.62 into a percentage: 262%

The percentage increase between the amount of offenses in 2000 and the amount of offenses in 2019 is approximately 262%.
