Hongwu was the first emperor  and the rightful founder of Ming Dynasty in China. Zhu Yuanzhang was the original name of the emperor but his temple name was Ming Taizu. Zhu Yuanzhang or Ming Taizu was the emperor who rose against the Mongols leading to the fall of the Yuan Dynasty and the Mongols had no other option but retreat to the Central Asian steppes.
