The main option for outside employment for middle-class women in the 1820s and 30s is factory industry. The difference is, women nowadays are free to choose what their career to be.

EXPLANATION

In the early 1800s, industrialization began pulling Northeast women out of the house to work in factories and schools. Lowell Mills in Massachusetts became a famous place for working women.

While many women work for a living, others choose to stay at home and professionalize the job of boarding houses. This is part of the culture of 19th-century domesticity.

Whereas African-American women in the South remained enslaved in this period, did not get benefit from a culture of domesticity or independent work. Native American women are overwhelmed with increasingly erratic work as Indian Removal and Manifest Destiny continue to shift them further west.

Today, in an increasingly open and modern era the role of women is very unlimited. For example, the reins of leadership in politics which were always dominated by men, now women also have the opportunity to do so. The emancipation of women is increasingly echoed, equality of rights is also increasingly recognized by many people. Now women are free to choose what their career to be. There is no longer a gender limit let. There is no longer the assumption that women are weak creatures.

Answer:

The main option for white women was in the textile industry, while african american women were mainly slaves.

Explanation:

The main difference was that women mainly worked in the household, being in charge of taking care of the kids and educating them, the ones that searched for work outside the household if they were white women had opportunity to work in the textile industry, while african americans were slaves and worked in plantations or working as maids and cookers in their slavers houses, nowadays women have many opportunities to develop a career in almost any field they desire, eventhough there´s still some differences and unequalities towards them, they jave more freedom to choose.

What Fear Can Teach Us commonlit answers ?
kifflom [539]

This is a TED talk given by Karem Thompson

Explanation:

In her speech she talks about how fear is connected with the stories we had read. She says, first, we have to acknowledge that fear is an entire system of the brain.

Yet today, when we do not have to fear a saber-toothed tiger behind every tree, we are still telling ourselves that a critical level of danger may be right around every corner.

Now our stress is social, ethical, and financial, but our brain elevates the challenges to that same fear center. We have difficult family situations that need attention, but we avoid wading in because we are imagining the worst possible outcome.

Which revision corrects the faulty parallelism?
Oksanka [162]
The correct answer is A. At age 22, Benjamin Franklin began publishing The Pennsylvania Gazette and writing most of the articles for it.
When it comes to parallelism within sentences, it refers to the fact that the same form of words is used throughout. As you can see in sentence A, the same form of words publishing and writing is used - both of them are gerunds. The other sentences do not show parallelism.

If you know that the term lyse means "to tear or split," then you can surmise that the lysosome inside a cell would likely _____
larisa [96]
The lysosome inside a cell would probably split given the correct conditions. The likelihood of a cell with a lysosome inside actually splitting can vary depending upon what type of cell it is. There is a possibility that the cell would tear instead of split, but that seems less likely than a split occurring.
