Answer: These expansions of the Pepsi brand are termed: <u>"(D) Line Extensions".</u>

Explanation: The extension of the line is the creation of a new product with two fundamental characteristics: First, the product belongs to the same category in which the brand was already entering. Second, the organization continues to use the same brand that it traditionally used in that category.

What is ecotourism? Write a short essay that includes the following information:
Lady_Fox [76]

Explanation:

1. For me, ecotourism seeks to protect the natural resources that we have in the present so that future generations have the opportunity to take advantage of them, while promoting social, cultural and economic growth of the local population.  According to other definitions, ecotourism is an environmentally responsible tourist modality. Its purpose is to visit and enjoy relatively unalterable natural areas as well as any cultural manifestation of the present or past, with the active participation of local populations. Ecotourism includes educational and interpretive content and tries to reduce negative impacts on the natural and socio-cultural environment as much as possible.

-<u>The Ministry of Tourism in Mexico defines Ecotourism in the following way: </u>"they are the trips that have the purpose of carrying out recreational activities of appreciation and knowledge of nature through contact with it." From another perspective, it is a tourist product aimed at those tourists who enjoy natural history, and who want to actively support and participate in the conservation of the environment.

-<u>The environmentalist architect and international consultant of Mexican origin, Héctor Ceballos Lascuráin, popularized in 1993 when he was included in the book “Ecotourism. </u>The Potential and the Pitfalls ”:

"Ecotourism is an environmentally responsible tourist modality, consisting of traveling to or visiting natural areas relatively undisturbed in order to enjoy, appreciate and study the natural attractions (landscape, wild flora and fauna) of said areas, as well as any cultural manifestation ( of the present and the past) that can be found there, through a process that promotes conservation, has a low negative environmental and cultural impact and fosters an active and socioeconomically beneficial involvement of local populations. ”

Ecotourism aims to achieve the preservation and maintenance of  natural ecosystems; tourism plays its role as a supplier of oil  economic that directly benefits local residents. Community  will provide their knowledge and services to tourists and they will benefit  economically.

- Ecotourism provides jobs and income to the local population.

-Provide environmental education to tourists.

-Create funds for purchase and supplies for improvement and protection of  natural areas. This is beneficial to attract future tourism.

- Motivates the preservation of the environment and the creation of new  or larger national parks, biosphere reserve, preservation  of forests, recreation areas, beaches and natural attractions.

Third world countries are important recipients of ecotourism. In  Brazil nature trips have become one of the new and more  great markets of economic income of the country. In south-central Africa, the  Rwanda's ecotourism is the third largest source of resources  economic.

If you invest P dollars and you want the investment to grow to A dollars in t years, the interest rate that must be earned if in
hoa [83]

Answer: 18.92%

Explanation:

The formula to find the compound amount :-

A=P(1+r)^t, where P is the Principal amount, r is the rate of interest and t is the time period.

Given : P= $1500

A = $6000

Time = 8 years

Then 6000=1500(1+r)^8

i.e. (1+r)^8=\dfrac{6000}{1500}=4

i

Taking natural log on both sides , we get

\Rightarrow\ 8\ln(1+r)=\ln(4)\\\\\Rightarrow\ \log(1+r)=\dfrac{\log4}{8}=\dfrac{1.38629436112}{8}=0.17328679514\\\\\Rightrarrow\ 1+r=e^{0.17328679514}\\\\\Rightarrow\ 1+r=1.189207115\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=1.189207115-1=0.189207115\\\\\Rightarrow\ r\approx0.1892\approx18.92\%

Magellan is adding a project to the company portfolio and has the following information: the expected market return is 11.6%,
fredd [130]

Answer:

The beta of the new project is 1.475

Explanation:

The beta is the measure of systematic or market risk associated to a stock. The beta is used in the calculation of the required/expected rate of return under the CAPM model. The CAPM model uses the following formula to calculate the required/expected rate of return,

r = rRF + Beta * (rM - rRF)

Plugging in the available variables, we can calculate the value of the beta.

0.154 = 0.036 + Beta * (0.116 - 0.036)

0.154 - 0.036  =  Beta * 0.08

0.118 / 0.08 = Beta

Beta = 1.475

                                 Tight Drums Company

                    Contribution margin income statement

                    For the year ended December 31, 2017

Sales (5,000 drums × $350)      $1,750,000

Less: Variable cost

Plastic for casing -$185,000

Wages of assembly workers $510,000

Drum stands $230,000

Variable selling costs

Sales commissions $175,000

Total variable cost                                         -$1,100,000

Contribution margin                                        $650,000

Less: Fixed cost

Fixed manufacturing costs

Taxes on factory $5,000

Factory maintenance $10,000

Factory machinery depreciation $70,000

Fixed selling and administrative costs

Lease of equipment for sales staff $10,000

Accounting staff salaries $60,000

Administrative management salaries $140,000

Total fixed cost                                                          -$295,000

Net operating income                                                 $355,000

Less: income tax expense at 25%                             -$88,750

Net income                                                                   $266,250

We simply deduct the variable cost and fixed cost from the sales revenue so that the net operating income could come and then deducted the income tax expense so that net income could arrive

Wewaii [24]

Answer:

Options A, B, C, and E.

(Please check the explanation section before you judge or pick your answer)

Explanation:

The options A, B, C, and E are the options that are considered complex if we want to Craft a strategy to compete in one or more foreign markets.

Please take note that if the question asked us to pick which of the options is NOT a inherently complex reason when crafting a strategy to compete in one or more foreign markets then we would have picked Option D.

As given in the question, that is option D which says; '' buyer tastes and preferences creates challenges in standardizing products and services." Will not be a reason for crafting a strategy to compete in one or more foreign markets is inherently complex.

Countries due to globalization tends to participate in international trades. Competition in the international trade has its advantages as well as its disadvantages or risks.

To trade in the international market, countries must have their individual strategies and Option D above is NOT a inherently complex reason when crafting a strategy to compete in one or more foreign markets
