The way to convert mixed fractions into improper fractions is to multiply the whole number by the denominator, and then add that product to the numerator. After you get the final number, that will be the new numerator and the denominator will stay the same.

So in this case, we multiply 7 with 4 and then add 1:

7*4 = 28
28 + 1 = 29

And the improper fraction of 7 1/4 is 29/4

Do the same with 2 4/5. Multiply 2 with 5 and add 4 like this:

2*5 = 10
10 + 4 = 14

And the improper fraction of 2 4/5 is 14/5

I hope this helped! :)

1. 7 1/4 as an improper is 29/1. Because 7x4+1 is 29.

2. 2 4/5 as an improper is 14/5. Because 2x5+4 is 14.

Which inequality represents the graph shown?
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

y<= 2/5 x -8

Step-by-step explanation:

When we are dealing with inequalities we have to keep in mind that the graph are regions and not figures (like lines)

The region has orientation and it is given by the sign used, if it is above something, it means the > sign, otherwise the < sign.

Now, we have a line and the region is below, so there is a < sign involved, other thing to keep in mind is that the figure can be contained in the region if is graphed using a solid line, so there is the = sign involved

An automobile manufacturer claims that its car has a 37.2 miles/gallon (MPG) rating. An independent testing firm has been contra
tatiyna

Answer:

fail to reject the null hypothesis

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the information provided I would fail to reject the null hypothesis. This is because the Miles per gallon that the independent testing firm has concluded for the car nearly matches the car's MPG claim. The difference being 0.1 . Since the standard deviation is 1.1 for this test, this means that the average falls perfectly within this range and makes the data very compelling. Combine this with a very low level of significance, I would say that the claim is backed by the data.

E-learning.....I’m kinda going crazy.......
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

Same...

Step-by-step explanation:

I believe you multiply 578 x 0.09

So that is 52.02

But you can't have .02 of a person, so you can either round up or down...

So I would round up, and that would be around 53

Hope this helps!
