X = measure of anglecomplement: 90 -x
supplement: 180 - x

Four times the complement increased by forty-six = 4(90-x) + 46
twice the supplement: 2(180 - x)
so
Four times the complement increased by forty-six is the same as twice the supplement

4(90-x) + 46  = 2(180 - x)
360 - 4x + 46 = 360 - 2x
                 2x = 46
                   x = 23

answer

measure of angle x = 23
measure of complement = 90 - 23 = 67
measure of supplement = 180 - 23 = 157

A business breaks even when the production costs are equal to the revenue. The expression 120+4x represents the cost of producin
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

Results are below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Giving the following information:

The expression 120+4x represents the cost of producing x items. The selling price is $5 for each item.

The net income formula:

y= (5 - 4)x - 120

(5-4)= contribution margin per unit sold (x)

120= fixed costs

To calculate the break-even point in units, we need to use the following formula:

Break-even point in units= fixed costs/ contribution margin per unit

Break-even point in units= 120 / 1

Break-even point in units= 120 units

Prove:

y= 1*120 - 120

y= 0

Y = mx + b

Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

As you can already see it passes through the origin so b (the y-intercept) is (x, 0)

And the slope were it’s rise/run so it goes up 2.5 units and to the right 1 unit so it’s 2.5/1 = 2.5

m = 2.5
