Non-shared environmental influences is an aspect of behavior genetic whereby individuals that are living together (e.g., in a family or household) do not share certain characteristics and that therefore it leads them to become dissimilar and different from each other. Some of the examples of nonshared environmental influences may include the differences in friends, peer group or teachers that such identical twins in the same household might have at school or elsewhere separate from the home.
