11n + 5 = 13n   Subtract 11n from both sides
         5 = 2n    Divide both sides by 2
         \frac{5}{2} = n     Switch the sides to make it easier to read
         n = \frac{5}{2}

Check your answer:

11n + 5 = 13n   Substitute n for \frac{5}{2}
11(\frac{5}{2}) + 5 = 13(\frac{5}{2})   Simplify
\frac{55}{2} + \frac{10}{2} = \frac{65}{2}   Add
\frac{65}{2} = \frac{65}{2}

A company paid $48 for 2 cases of printer paper. Each case contained 12 packages of paper. Next month the company’s office manag
il63 [147K]
Since 2 cases = $48

÷ 48 by 2 to get the cost of one case of paper

48÷2=$24 per case
and each case has 12 pack of paper

so $24 for 12 packs of paper

180÷12=15, which gives you the number of case you need

15 cases × $24= $360 for 180 packs

tresset_1 [31]

The expressions which demonstrates the identity property of multiplication is; 25(1) = 25 option B

<h3>Identity Property</h3>

Identity Property of Multiplication states that any number multiplied by 1 does not change, that is, it is constant or remains the same

Check all options

25(0) = 25

0 = 25

Not true

25(1) = 25

25 = 25

True (identity property of multiplication holds)

25 + 0 = 25

25 = 25

True (Not identity property of multiplication)

25 + 1 = 25

26 = 25
