Amy(A): D + 12
Doug(D):D
Ginger(G):2D
SumOfAll(S)=208 : Total points / sum of all three friends

(D+12)+D+2D=208
D+12+3D=208 - transpose 12 to the right side
4D=208-12
4D = 196   - divide both sides by 4
D=49
Therefore, Doug scored 49

The equation is provided below:

x = Doug's points
12 + x = Amy's score
2x = Ginger's score
208 = total points of Doug, Amy and Ginger.

x + ( 12 + x ) + 2x = 208
x + 12 + x + 2x = 208
x + x + 2x = 208 - 12
4x = 196
4x / 4 = 196 / 4
x = 49 (Doug's Score)

Amy's Score:
12 + ( 49 ) = 61

Ginger's Score:
2 * ( 49 ) = 98

49 (Doug's) + 61 (Amy's) + 98 (Ginger's) = 208.

The correct answer for Doug's score is 49.

Maria measured a centipede that was 1 1/12 inches long. Jerome measured a centipede that was 11/12 of an inch long. How much lon
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

The centipede that Maria measured was 1 1/12 inches long. If you convert this to an improper fraction it is equal to 13/12 inches. Now to find how much longer Maria's centipede was than Jeromes, you just take 11/12 and minus it from 13/12 which is equal to 2/12 of an inch, which then simplifies to 1/6 of an inch.

An electrician earns $110 after his first hour of working for a client. His total pay based on the number of hours worked can be
VLD [36.1K]
I don't like trying all of them so I will make up my own which will probably be in the answers
so equation is
f(x)=pay
x=hours worked
solve so
f(1)=110
f(2)=130
f(3)=150
f(4)=170

they seem to be increasing in 20 increments so therefor the pay is linked to hours times 20 so that measn that every hour he works, he gets 20 dollars
therefor the answer is f(n+1)=f(n)+20 since we know that 1 hour=$20 so n+1hour=n+$20

the answe ris f(n+1)=f(n)+20
