Let's say we're at the store and you want to buy 10 boxes of cookies for a party. Each box of cookies cost 4.89(counting tax), you don't know if you have enough money to buy the cookies with the $65.00 you have with you. You could round the price up to $5.00 and do more simple multiplication. Your total would estimate about $50.00. Now you know you have more than enough money to buy cookies. I hope that makes sense. :)

Annette [7]

Answer:

G (3,-4) ; H (8,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Midpoint formula:

(x₁ + x₂ / 2 , y₁ + y₂ / 2)

For G (Points B and A):

(3 + 3 / 2 , 1 + (-9) / 2)

(6/2 , -8 / 2)

(3,-4)

For H (Points B and C):

(3 + 13 / 2 , 1 + 1 / 2)

(16 / 2 , 2 / 2)

A ball is dropped from a height of 10 meters. Each time it bounces, it reaches 50 percent of its previous height. The total vert
xz_007 [3.2K]
After every drop, the ball bounces to half it's previous height. With that understood.

1st drop -The ball drops 10m

1st bounce - 5m up
2nd drop - 5m down

2nd bounce - 2.5m up
3rd drop - 2.5m down

3rd bounce - 1.25m up
4th drop - 1.25m down

4th bounce - 0.625m up
5th/last drop - 0.625m down

To find the total vertical distance, you add them all.

10+5+5+2.5+2.5+1.25+1.25+0.625+0.625
=29.25m travelled in all.
