Answer:

x = 5 and value of y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

using substitution method

let;

x + 4y = 13...................... equation 1

x - y = 3............................... equation 2

from equation 2

x - y = 3.................................... eqn 2

x = y + 3.......................................... equation 3

put x = y + 3 in equation 1

x + 4y = 13...................... equation 1

y + 3 + 4y = 13

5y = 13 - 3

5y = 10

divide both sides by 5

i.e

5y/5 = 10/5

y = 2

sustitue for y  = 2 in equation 3

x = y + 3.......................................... equation 3

x = 2 + 3

x = 5

therefore the value of x = 5 and value of y = 2

to check if your answwer is correct slot in the value of x and y in any of the equation . e.g

from equation 3

x = y + 3.......................................... equation 3

5= 2 + 3

5 =5....................... proved

2x + 3y = 1200
3y = -2x + 1200
y = -2/3x + 400......slope = -2/3....y int = (0,400)...x int = (600,0)

start at (0,400)...and since ur slope is -2/3, go down 2 spaces, and to the right 3 spaces...plot this point...then go down 2, and to the right 3...plot this point....keep doing this and u should cross the x axis at (600,0).

Answer:

5n^2

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a quadratic sequence.

The nth term must have n^2.

The sequence has a factor of 5.

5n^2

5(1)^2=5\\5(2)^2=20\\5(3)^2=45\\5(4)^2=80\\5(5)^2=125

Few terms to this sequence are:

5, 20, 45, 80, 125, 180, 245, 320, 405, 500, 605, 720, 845, 980, 1125, 1280, 1445, 1620, 1805, 2000, 2205, 2420, 2645, 2880, 3125, 3380, 3645, 3920, 4205, 4500, 4805, 5120, 5445, 5780, ...
