Answer:

22 strips.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this you just have to divide the total inches of paper that she actually has by the size of the strips that she´s going to make:

9 inches/2/5\\\frac{ 9inches}{\frac{2}{5} } \\\frac{45}{2}\\22\frac{1}{2}

So as you can see she can make a total of 22 strips and a half, but the half won´t be useful so she can make 22 strips.

First off it would be 9 divided by 2/5.
Then by using the reciprocal, multiply them both (change 9 to 9/1)

9/1 x 5/5 = 45/2

If you would like to convert it, it would be 22 1/2

39 3.3 5.1 3.3 x find the value in the triangle shown below
prohojiy [21]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  x = 102

Step-by-step explanation:

Isosceles triangles have equal angles opposite equal sides. There are two 39° angles in this triangle (opposite the 3.3 sides), so the third one is ...

  x° = 180° -2(39°)

  x° = 102°

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

The triangle is "overspecified", meaning more measures are provided than are necessary to completely describe the triangle. As is often the case in such situations, the measures provided are sufficiently inconsistent that two different "right" answers are possible, depending on how you work the problem. The first attachment shows the solution above.

The second attachment shows the solution you might get by using the Law of Cosines. Note that x=101 in this case.

Which of the following algebraic expressions represents the statement given below?
viva [34]
From the given problem above, the correct answer would be the last option since it stated that a number which is X is increased by five or added by five and then the sum is then squared. Therefore, it is option D. (X+5)^2.

A new car is purchased for $50,000 and over time it’s value depreciates by one half every 5 years. What is the value of the car
Setler79 [48]

The value of the car after 5 years would be $23914.85

<u>Explanation:</u>

Given:

Worth of the new car = $50,000

Every 5 years the value depreciates by 1/2

i.e., every 5 years the value depreciates by 50%

So, we can say that every year the value depreciates by 10%

The worth of the car after 7 years would be

W = C (1 - \frac{D}{100} )^t

where,

W is the depreciated value

C is the current value

D is the depreciation rate

t is the time

Substituting the value in the equation we get:

W = 50000( 1 - \frac{10}{100} )^7\\\\W = 50000 (\frac{9}{10} )^7\\\\W = 23914.85

Therefore, the value of the car after 5 years would be $23914.85
