Answer:

Answer has been given below

Explanation:

  • NaBr is a strong electrolyte. Hence it dissociates completely in aqueous solution.
  • Dissociation of NaBr: NaBr\rightarrow Na^{+}+Br^{-}. Hence 1 mol of NaBr produces 1 mol of Na^{+} and 1 mol of Br^{-} upon complete dissociation
  • So, concentration of NaBr is 0 (M), concentration of Na^{+} is 0.10 (M) and concentration of Br^{-} is 0.10 (M)
  • Concentrations of H_{3}O^{+} and OH^{-} depends upon solely on autoionization of water.
  • Hence concentration of H_{3}O^{+} = concentration of OH^{-} = 1.0\times 10^{-7}(M)
  • Concentration of H_{2}O is calculated from it's density (1 g/mL) and molar mass of H_{2}O (18 g/mol). hence concentration of H_{2}O is 55.5 (M)

NaBr < H3O+1 = OH-1 < Na^+1 = Br^-1 < H2O

<span>Least is NaBr (100% dissolved so no NaBr remains, only Na^+1 and Br^-1 </span>
<span>H2O yields 10^-7 M H3O^+1 and 10^-7 M OH^-1 (Kw = 1x10^-14 = [H3O+][OH-] </span>
<span>Na^+1 and Br^-1 will bothe be 0.1 M </span>
<span>H2O is slightly less that 1000 g / L in a 0.1 M NaBr solution, so its concentration is about 55.5 M</span>

The genetic material of all organisms;made up of two twisted strands in a double helix
viva [34]
Hello!

The genetic material of all organisms which is made up of two twisted strands in a double helix is called DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid)

DNA
is the basis of all genetic information. It contains all instructions for the development and functioning of all living organisms and some viruses. The main function of DNA is the long-term storage of information to build other cell components like Proteins and RNA. It is composed of two strands with 4 possible bases which are Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C) and Guanine (G).

Have a nice day!

For the reaction PC15 (8) PC13 (g) + Cl2 (g) K = 0.0454 at 261 °C. If a vessel is filled with these gases such that the initial
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

The correct answer is B.

The K_{eq} is samller than Q of the reaction . So,the reaction will shift towards the left i.e. towards the reactant side.

Explanation:

Equilibrium constant is defined as the ratio of concentration of products to the concentration of reactants each raised to the power their stoichiometric ratios. It is expressed as K_{eq}

K is the constant of a certain reaction when it is in equilibrium, while Q is the quotient of activities of products and reactants at any stage other than equilibrium of a reaction.

For the given chemical reaction:

PCl_5(g)\rightleftharpoons PCl_3(g)+Cl_2(g)

The expression for Q is written as:

Q=\frac{[PCl_3][Cl_2]}{[[PCl_5]^1}

Q=\frac{0.20 M\times 2.5 M}{0.20 M}

Q=2.5

Given : K_{eq} = 0.0454

Thus as K_{eq}, the reaction will shift towards the left i.e. towards the reactant side.

How many joules are required for melting 12.8g of ice at 0 degrees Celsius?
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

4,270 Joules

Explanation:

The heat of fusion of water is 334 j/g. So, the equation would be (12.8 g)(334 j/g) which comes to 4,270 joules.

Written out that's just twelve point eight times three hundred and thirty four.
