Religion in Colonial America was dominated by Christianity although Judaism was practiced in small communities after 1654. Christian denominations included Anglicans, Baptists, Catholics, Congregationalists, German Pietists, Lutherans, Methodists, and Quakers among others.
The Reign of Terror during the French Revolution started because there was a conflict between the two political parties. The 2 political parties were Girondins and Jacobins and it would take a conflict that arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government, which represented the British crown.
