For these ones I just play around with what I can divide 84 by to equal -33 in the middle. I decided to divide 84 by 4 because it was an even number.

84/4=21

21+ (3*4)= 33

Answer: (x-4)(3x-21)

Answer:  The factors of the given expressions are 3, (x-7) and (x-4).

Step-by-step explanation:  We are given to find the factors of the following quadratic expression :

E=3x^2-33x+84~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(i)

To find the factors of the given expression, we need to find two integers with sum -33 and product 252.

From (i), we have

E\\\\=3x^2-33x+84\\\\=3x^2-21x-12x+84\\\\=3x(x-7)-12(x-7)\\\\=(x-7)(3x-12)\\\\=3(x-7)(x-4).

Thus, the factors of the given expressions are 3, (x-7) and (x-4).

Answer:

  24x

Step-by-step explanation:

The total length of all vertical segments is 5x·2 = 10x.

The total length of all horizontal segments is (3x+4x)·2 = 14x.

Then the total length of all perimeter segments is ...

  10x +14x = 24x . . . . perimeter of the figure

Answer:

B is correct

Step-by-step explanation: an infinite number of solutions means a coincident line...it is the same line

3y = 2x - 9...divide by 3

y = 2/3x - 3...hmm...same line as answer choice b....they are coincident lines and have infinite solutions

1 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

The number 1.6 can be writen using the fraction 16/10 which is equal to 8/5 when reduced to lowest terms.

It is also equal to 1 3/5 when writen as a mixed number.

You can use the following approximate value(s) for this number:

1.6 =~ 1 1/2 (if you admit a error of -6.25%)

Which number can each term of the equation be multiplied by to eliminate the decimals before solving?5.6j – 0.12 = 4 1.1j
Sergeu [11.5K]
The answer is:  "100" .
________________________
Explanation:
__________________________
Looking at the ENTIRE EQUATION (all numeric values on BOTH sides of the equation), we can see that the decimal that with the most decimal places goes to the right, to the hundredths place (i.e. two places); so by multiplying the ENTIRE EQUATION (BOTH SIDES—i.e. EACH term on EACH SIDE) by "100", we get rid of ALL the decimals, as follows:
_________________________________________
100*  {<span>5.6j – 0.12 = 41.1 j ) ;

</span>↔ (100* 5.6j) – (100 * 0.12) = (100 * 41.1 j );

↔  560 j – 12 = 4110 j ;
