Montano1993 [528]
Chile experienced its first modern economic crisis with the Long depression in the 1870s. Chilean exports and GDP per capita rose steadily through the 1980s and 1990s until the Asian crisis of 1997 after which economic growth slowed somewhat. Chile has a mixed economy, which means that it is made up of both private and state-owned corporations. The privately-owned businesses are regulated by limited government policies. Explain the difference between Epicureanism and Stoicism.
wariber [46]

Answer: their differences lie in that Stoicism thinks of long-term pleasure while Epicureanism thinks of living to the fullest.

Explanation:

To better explain both terms, Stoicism thinks that it is important to abstain from the pleasure of the moment in order to obtain long-term rewards. It focuses on living properly and morally. In Epicureanism the important thing is pleasure, living life in the moment because tomorrow no one knows what might happen, what matters is the present.

almond37 [142]

Answer:

The way I see this is less a question on whether or not democracy is good, but whether it's within suitable boundaries to work correctly. The overarching state exists to keep a certain order, and, if someone is to see that status quo as bad, they often won't see a point to voting. If you agree don't think this, you should engage in discussion with them about the current status quo. If you do, you should try to find the least bad candidate if you choose to vote, while focusing on actions outside of a ballot.
