What is the difference between theoretical and experimental probability

The difference between experimental probability and theoretical probability is that experimental probability is the probability determined in practice. Theoretical probability is the probability that should happen. For example, the theoretical probability of getting any single number on a number cube is one sixth. But maybe you roll it twice and get a four both times. That would be an example of experimental probability.

Theoretical probability<span> is what we expect to happen, where </span>experimental probability<span> is what actually happens when we try it out. The </span>probability<span> is still calculated the same way, using the number of possible ways an outcome can occur divided by the total number of outcomes.</span>

Answer:

  48.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Put the values in place of the variables and simplify according to the Order of Operations in the usual way.

  10.2x +9.4y

  = 10.2(2) +9.4(3) . . . . . 2 is substituted for x; 3 is substituted for y

  = 20.4 +28.2

  = 48.6

frez [133]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The average rate of change of f(x) in the closed interval [ a, b ] is

\frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}

Here { a, b ] = [ - 1, 2 ], thus

f(b) = 4 ← from (2, 4 )

f(a) = \frac{1}{2} ← from (- 1, \frac{1}{2} ) , thus

average rate of change = \frac{4-\frac{1}{2} }{2-(-1)} = \frac{\frac{7}{2} }{3} = \frac{7}{6} → D
