The size of the country. the soviet union had immediate access to resources, the germans couldn’t stretch their resources as far as they had come. add on the cold, the germans had quite the hard time

<span>It was General Windfield Scott. He led the campaign to take Mexico City.  First he laid siege on Vera Cruz with the help of Commodore Mathew C. Perry and then advance to Puebla where he routed the Mexican defenders there.  On his way to Mexico, he was involved in several fights such as Churabusco, Molino Del Rey and Chapultepec.  He defeated Sta. Ana at the Battle of Huamantla which was Sta. Ana’s last battle.  He also dealt with Mexican Guerillas and eventually won the war against Mexico.</span>
