You need to know and have memorized metric unit conversions. They are easy, you just need to know how many zeros to add.

1 cm = 10 mm
1 m = 1000 mm
1 m = 100 cm
1 km = 1000 m

(1.) 4m + 3cm = 400cm + 3cm = 403cm
(2.) 3km + 8m = 3000m + 8m = 3008m
(3.) 7cm + 9mm = 70mm + 9mm = 79mm
(4.) 1m + 5cm = 100cm + 5cm = 105cm
(5.) 5km + 5m = 5000m + 5m = 5005m

Do you see that to switch 5km to smaller unit meters you just add the zeros on to the end. Because 1km = 1000m ; 5km = 5000m

You try the rest. let me know if you have any questions.

How do you calculate the value of the height, base or width of a rectangle, when the given volume, is 10m^3 and the base is twic
harkovskaia [24]

The length and width of the rectangle is 2√5m and √5m respectively

Volume of a rectangle

The formula for calculating the volume of a rectangle is expressed as:

V = lw

where

l is the length

w is the width

h is the height

If base is twice its width, then l = 2w

Substitute

10 = w(2w)

10 = 2w²

5 = w²

w = √5 m

Since l = 2w

l = 2√5m

Hence the length and width of the rectangle is 2√5m and √5m respectively

Hello! Could someone help me out with part d? Please show your work!
koban [17]

Answer:

1

Step-by-step explanation:

Part d

∫f′(t)dt as long as the function is continuous

Let u = 6-2x

du = -2dx so -1/2 du = dx

upper limit = 6- 2(4) = 6-8 = -2

lower limit = 6 - 2(2) = 6 - 4 = 2

∫f′(u)(-1/2)du limits -2 to 2 =-1/2( f(-2) - f(2))

f(-2) is 1

f(2) is 3

-1/2(f(-2) - f(2)) = -1/2( 1-3) = -1/2(-2) = 1
