How do I find it out
Paraphin [41]
The two equations are in the slope-intercept form, y = mx + b.

m is the slope and it is the rate of change.
b is the constant, and it is the initial value.

Eq. A: y = 3x + 4  ---> rate of change = m = 3; initial value = b = 4
Eq. B: y = 5x + 2  ---> rate of change = m = 5; initial value = b = 2

Now you can see which statement is true.

A. False
B. True
C. False
D. False

inspection of a random sample of 25 aircraft showed that 17 needed repairs to fix a wiring problem that might compromise safety.
lora16 [44]

   The random sample proportion:

 at 90% confidence interval: The Central 90% of any normal   distribution is: Z_(α/2) = 1.960

   Error = E = ±5% = ±0.05

   Applying the normal distribution theory,

= 0.70 ≤ P≤  0.77(this means that we are 90% confident that the true proportion of jet with wiring problem fall with 0.70 and 0.77, hence there is no need for the airline to conduct further sampling, rather, they should just inspect all the planes)

Draw a line PQ. Take any point outside it and construct a line parallel to the given line through this point
MArishka [77]

Parallel means same slope, so in the image, line PQ is connected by a line. The other point I made has a line parallel through it.
