In y = mx + b form, the slope will be in the m position and the y int will be in the b position
y = 6x - 5.....the slope is 6. A parallel line will have the same slope
with a y int of 7....
y = 6x + 7 <===
a is the beggining number and n is the amount of times needed to do this. if is 17 you would need to subtract 7 from the originol number 12 (a) that many times.
