Okay so the three in 6300 is 10 times bigger than the three and a 530 why because the three in six hundred thirty is in the hundredths place and the three in 530 is in the tenths place meaning that the 3 in 6300 is 10 times bigger than the one in 530. what do I mean by 10 times bigger? consider this 3 * 10 equals 30 or if you Annex a 0 at the end it would be 300 as in 6 thousand three hundred

How do you figure out what is 5.6 ÷ 0.014
larisa86 [58]
Move the decimal point in "0.014" three spaces to the right. Then, since you moved three spaces in 0.014, you must do the same thing to the decimal 5.6. So your equation should now be 5,600 ÷ 14. The answer one you solved that equation, (5,600÷14), should be 400.

One month bob rented 5 movies and 2 video games for a total of $26 . the next month he rented 3 movies and 8 video games for a t
dezoksy [38]
Let x be the number of movies rented
Let y be the number of video games rented

(5x+2y=26)4
- 3x+8y=53

 20x+8y=104
-3x+8y=53
-----------------
17x       =51
x=51/17
x=3

5x+2y=26
5(3)+2y=26
2y=26-15
y=11/2
y=5.5

Therefore, the movies cost $3 and the video games cost $5.5

Hope I helped :)
