Dr. Mortimer tells Holmes and Watson that his friends, the rich Baskervilles, have been cursed since 1742. The curse involves a huge black hound that has haunted the family for generations. He fears that it was this hound that killed Sir Charles Baskerville, the most recent person to live in Baskerville Hall.

I would go after that friend. Because I would want to prevent them from doing something they'd regret. I have been in a situation like this before with a friend. I talked them out of that descion, they calmed down; & everything was okay. I would want my friend(s) to do the same for me. They would do the same thing for me.
